Front-End Developer / Designer - 3D

Insight, a Fortune 500 global technology solutions provider, is looking for a Front-End Developer / Designer who combines strong visual design instincts with hands-on technical skills in WebGL and modern JavaScript. The role centers on building immersive, cinematic data interfaces — real-time 3D visualizations and animated web experiences that make complex systems tangible and compelling. You'll work closely with Forward Deployed Engineers and data teams, taking ideas from concept through to polished, performant browser-based products. A portfolio demonstrating futuristic UI work, including 3D and WebGL elements, is required to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern, animated front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Build and optimize real-time 3D visualizations and motion-based experiences using Three.js, Babylon.js, or similar WebGL frameworks
• Collaborate with data engineers to transform complex datasets into intuitive, high-impact visual narratives
• Prototype and implement interactive elements and transitions that enhance immersion and usability
• Apply visual design principles — including lighting, motion, and composition — to deliver dynamic, cinematic interfaces
• Iterate from concept to production code, maintaining both visual polish and technical performance

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating modern, futuristic UI design with 3D elements, animations, and WebGL-based interactions (required for consideration)
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands-on experience with WebGL frameworks such as Three.js, Babylon.js, or equivalent 3D rendering libraries
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks, with React preferred
• Solid understanding of motion principles, shaders, lighting, and interactive web storytelling
• Strong aesthetic judgment and ability to craft futuristic, visually polished UI concepts

Nice to have

• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Blender or Cinema 4D
